# TERMS & CONDITIONS (T&C)

**Effective Date:** January 3, 2026
**Last Updated:** January 3, 2026
**App Name:** Alias Bot ("Alias Bot", the "App")
**Provider:** Yippa ("Yippa", "we", "us", "our")
**Contact:** team@yippa.io

## 1. Introduction
Welcome to **Alias Bot**, a third-party Slack application operated by **Yippa**. By installing or using the App, you agree to these **Terms & Conditions** ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the App.

Alias Bot integrates with Slack, and your use of Slack is governed by Slack's own terms and privacy policy.

## 2. What the App Does
Alias Bot lets workspace users create **channel-scoped aliases** (e.g., !devs) that expand into mentions of specific Slack members when used in messages. To provide this functionality, the App processes Slack events and stores only the configuration required to manage aliases.

## 3. Eligibility and Slack Access
You must have a valid Slack account and the necessary permissions to install or use the App in your workspace. Workspace owners or admins control installation and removal of the App.

## 4. Installation, Permissions, and Scope
When installed, Alias Bot receives OAuth credentials and limited workspace metadata required to operate. You agree that the App may access Slack APIs within the permissions granted during installation.

Aliases are **channel-scoped**. The App only expands aliases in channels where it has been invited.

## 5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds
- Alias Bot may offer free and paid plans; pricing and billing frequency are shown at checkout.
- Payments are processed by **DodoPayments**; we do not store full payment card details.
- Unless required by law, subscription fees are **non-refundable** and not prorated.

## 6. Your Content and Data
You remain responsible for any content you post in Slack. The App processes message text to detect aliases and post a reply, but does not store Slack message bodies as part of normal operation.

The App stores alias configuration data (alias name, member IDs, channel ID, and workspace identifiers) to provide the service. For more details, see the Alias Bot Privacy Policy.

## 7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the App to:
- Violate applicable laws or Slack policies
- Harass, abuse, or impersonate others
- Interfere with the App's operation or security
- Misuse aliases for spam or deceptive communication

We may suspend or terminate access for violations or misuse.

## 8. Third-Party Services
The App relies on third-party services to operate, including:
- **Slack** — the platform hosting the App
- **DodoPayments** — subscription billing
- **DigitalOcean** — hosting and infrastructure

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

## 9. Intellectual Property
Alias Bot and all related software, branding, and documentation are owned by Yippa. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App within your Slack workspace.

## 10. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided **"as is"** without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that aliases will expand correctly in every circumstance.

## 11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yippa will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid for the App in the **last 3 months**.

## 12. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from Slack. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, misuse the App, or if required by law.

## 13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last Updated" date when changes are made. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
